Who runs this site

Hanna Hutchins runs hannaalissa.com. To reach her about anything on this page, use the contact form.

What the site collects

  • The contact form: what your message is about, your name, your email address and your message.
  • Sticky notes on the Paintings page: the name you type, your note (typed text or a drawing) and the paper color and spot you pick.
  • "Email me my list" on the Charcuterie page: the email address you type, and the pieces on your board.

Nothing else is asked for. You don't need an account.

What it is used for

  • Contact messages are saved in the site's private admin inbox and emailed to Hanna, so she can read and reply to you. Only Hanna signs in to that inbox.
  • Sticky notes wait in the admin, private, until Hanna approves one. An approved note then shows on the Paintings page for everyone, with the name you typed. A copy of your own notes is also kept in your own browser so you can see yours while it waits.
  • Your board list is emailed to the address you typed, once. The site does not save that address.
  • Spam protection: each form has a hidden trap field and a time check, and the site counts how many times a visitor submits in an hour. For that count it stores a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address, which is dropped after an hour. Your raw address isn't kept by the site.

What the site does not do

  • No ads and no analytics or tracking tools.
  • No cookies on the public pages.
  • Nothing is sold or given to anyone else.

Two things to know. The fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for them when a page opens. And like any website, the web host (DreamHost) keeps its own ordinary server records of visits, which this site doesn't use.

How long it is kept

  • Contact messages stay in the admin inbox until Hanna deletes them. The inbox holds the newest 500, and older ones drop off. The email Hanna received stays in her own mailbox.
  • Sticky notes stay until Hanna deletes them.
  • Board list addresses are not kept.
  • The site keeps its last 20 saved copies of its data as backups, so a deleted message or note can sit in an older backup copy until newer saves replace it.

Asking for something to be deleted

Send a message through the contact form. Say what you want removed (a message, or a sticky note and the name on it) and use the same email address or name you used before, so it can be found. Hanna can delete messages and notes from the admin.
